Nine months in: capacity, equipment and a waiting list
Where the program stands after its first three cycles, and what the numbers mean.

In its first nine months Open Ice roughly doubled its capacity at every camp, sent home 576 individual pieces of equipment that families keep permanently, and received more than one hundred applications for a limited number of places.
Open Ice has been covered by CTV News, CP24 and local press. That attention also reaches the partners whose support pays for the ice time.
The demand side is the part worth reading twice. More families applied than there were spots. The constraint on this program is funding, not interest.
