Christmas Camp 2025
The inaugural Open Ice camp. Nine children from St. Paul Catholic School in Regent Park, over the 2025 winter break at Ted Reeve Community Arena.
The first camp ran from 29 December 2025 to 2 January 2026. Nine children attended, most of them stepping onto the ice for the first time in their lives. Every one of them left with equipment that was theirs to keep.
What the pilot proved
- That the barrier is cost. Nine spots filled immediately once cost was removed
- That a student executive can run a camp end to end
- That gear campers own, rather than borrow, is what keeps them playing afterwards
Every camp since has followed the model the pilot set.
